This conference marks the long-awaited, first ever joint initiative by the Primary Care Diabetes Society (PCDS) and the National Obesity Forum (NOF). We all acknowledge the direct relationship between obesity and diabetes but how often, to quote the title of this event, do we adopt a truly joined up approach to the management of this crucial, not to say expensive, problem?
